For those exploring further afield Blair Castle is only six miles north of Pitlochry, Perth Museum featuring the Stone of Destiny exhibit is 25 miles south. Excellent transport links make the rest of Scotland accessible even without a car.

Explore the local area on foot or by bike. There are many local options for all abilities, from a relaxing walk down to the fish ladder and dam to longer days spent in the hills. John and Sandra are always happy to help you plan your days.


For the more adventurous, bungee jumping, zip lining and a gorge swing can be found in nearby Killiecrankie, and white water rafting, quad biking and more are available within 10 minutes drive of Adderley House

Heartland Festival, held in June, is three days of music and entertainment for all the family, with a focus on home-grown talent. Previous headliners include Skerryvore and Tidelines.

The Enchanted Forest is an award winning light and sound show set against the beautiful backdrop of Faskally forest in autumn. Follow the winding trail through the lights, and then enjoy a hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows around the fire pit​.

Pitlochry Highland Games is a traditional Scottish Highland Games, held annually each September. The packed day features Highland Dancers, Pipe Bands and the Heavy Events, including tossing the caber.​
aROUND THE TOWN

Pitlochry's picturesque Victorian town center is full of bright floral displays in the summer. It's the ideal place to take a wander and enjoy the independent local shops and a bite to eat in one of the cafes.

Now in it's 75th year, Pitlochry Festival Theatre brings a year-round programme of plays, musicals and festivals to the area. As Scotland's only rurally-located, major arts organisation, the theatre attracts over 100,000 visitors a year. This year's productions include; My Fair Lady, Winter Words Literary Festival, Lear, and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie

Pitlochry boasts two distilleries within the town, Blair Athol and Edradour, with many others within an hour's drive. Several of the shops in town offer guided tastings and the chance to sample a range of whiskys.

Pitlochry Golf Club welcomes visitors to enjoy the 18 hole par 69 course with views across the Tummel Valley. If you didn't bring your clubs, they can be hired from the Pro Shop. The Club also offers a pitch and putt and driving range, as well as a bar and restaurant.

Pitlochry Bowling Club also welcomes visitors to play on their green. Non bowlers can hire equipment and lessons are available. The club hosts regular quiz nights and bingo evenings.

Fishing on Loch Faskally is very popular and permits can be bought in the town. Equipment is also available to hire locally.

Pitlochry is very popular for cycling; there are many cycling tracks and multi-use paths around Pitlochry, with mountain bikes and E-bikes available to hire locally to take advantage of the trails.
